AT&T releases 3G data plans for PS Vita; will gamers bite?
One of the last questions remaining regarding Sony's PS Vita was how much will AT&T charge for 3G service.
They answered that today. On a no-contract basis, it will cost gamers $14.99 a month for 250MB and $25 a month for 2GB of service.
I don't see that many people rushing to use this service to play games and use Facebook, Twitter and other popular apps when smartphones already do that. Who wants to pay a phone bill AND monthly fees for a portable game system?
The WiFi-only PS Vita costs $250 and the 3G version is $300. When Sony releases the system in the U.S. on Feb. 22, I hope they stock a lot more of the cheaper version. I bet good money that one will sell a lot more.
