Assassin's Creed III to get plenty of DLC, featuring George Washington as king of America
Ubisoft has - you guessed it - announced a Season Pass for Assassin's Creed III, which will feature plenty of downloadable content. Five DLC packs will be released within six months after the Oct. 30 launch for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
A new single-player campaign will take place in an alternate universe where our nation's first president, George Washington, actually became the king of America. Titled "The Tyranny of King Washington," three episodic content packs will become available for this alternate version of history. New maps and characters will be for multiplayer modes along with other single player missions. The Season Pass will cost 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $29.99 on PlayStation Network.
While I don't agree with announcing extra paid content prior to a game's release, especially nearly a full month before, I do like the premise of it. I blame that on watching these types of History Channel specials growing up. Plus, that promotional picture featuring Washington looks awesome.
